Brunel Public Lecture Series 2019 – What influence does the Digital Era have on our appearance and place in society?

February 13 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Brunel Public Lecture Series returns with three expert panels exploring the many challenges we face in the Age of the Digital Revolution.

Discussing digital responses to global challenges, community wellbeing and individual rights – the Series is free and open to all.

Dramatic advancements in our Digital Revolution offer hope for responding to the environmental, community and individual challenges we face… but these come hand-in-hand with threats to our security, our traditional sense of self and the infrastructures we’re accustomed to.

The 2019 Brunel Public Lecture Series considers such pressing topics as sustainable food, house construction and energy productions; the way we perceive beauty and transform our bodies; experience the digital world in later life, coupled with broader divisions in society. Will such developments inspire us to create new laws to safeguard us online, enable us to regain ownership of our personal data or ultimately inspire us to go off-grid?

The Brunel Public Lectures Series brings together some of our leading experts to discuss these challenges and creates a forum for public debate.
