More info on Tortoise:

We are a new journalism project specialising in “slow news” – the stories shaping society, beyond the breaking news, set up by editors from the BBC, the Times and the Guardian.

What is a Tortoise ThinkIn?

At the heart of our newsroom is what we call ThinkIns, an open forum listening to people’s lived experience and expertise. These ThinkIns inform our point of view and provide us with a jump-off point for our journalism. One of the editors will chair the discussion and we promise it will be interesting and lively. We aren’t creating another panel discussion so we aren’t asking for prepared remarks, rather it’s more of an ‘in conversation’ discussion between the editor, specially invited guests like yourself, and the audience, consisting of Tortoise members.

As a thank you, anyone who comes along to the discussion will get a Tortoise Network membership (normal membership costs £250 for the year).
