HCC member, Advanced UK, have partnered with global innovator Xerox to invite teachers and students from across the area to the brand new Xerox Innovation Centre as they support World Earth Day on 22 April 2020. Running from 10:00am – 1:00pm, the theme is Education, Technology and the Environment. Guests will have a guided tour of the impressive print facility, and learn how their printing impacts the environment. Additional technology of interest to all will include trialling smart software ‘apps’ installed on printers to automatically translate documents, and to convert them to audio documents too!
Guest speakers will deliver engaging presentations on how everyone can reduce their carbon footprint.
Humperdinck Jackman, the environmental campaigner for Advanced UK, said “the environment is in a perilous state, and it’s the younger generation who will be most affected. We believe this event can enlighten and inform on ways in which schools and colleges can reduce the amount they print and thus the vast number of trees felled”.
The event is free to attend, but prior registration is required. Spaces are limited.
Representatives from area business are welcome to join too.
