Website

All Hillingdon Chamber Members have a page of their own on the Hillingdon Chamber of Commerce website.

The website launched on 21 February 2011, and as examples we have three member pages ready for the launch:

All other member pages will be added as soon as possible.  If you would like to make your company’s page next, please email a few paragraphs of text and perhaps your logo or picture to Maxine on maxine@hillingdonchamber.co.uk.  We will create your initial page and then send you details on how you can log into the website to make changes to (and add to) your page.  You can change your page as often as you like.

The Affiliated Chambers also have their own webpages – the Ruislip Manor Chamber of Commerce page is the first one to be complete.  The RMCC chairman has control over the entries on that page.

Using the same login details as you use for amending your webpage, you can also then post to the Hillingdon Chamber Forum –  a place which we hope will grow into a valuable and interesting resource for members to promote, support and help each other.

Usernames and passwords
Your login username will be your company name without any punctuation.  You will be given a password, which you can change, and if you forget it, you can reset it by having the website send a new one to your registered email address.  If you have problems in finding or resetting your password, please contact Maxine on maxine@hillingdonchamber.co.uk.

Forum usernames
By default, when you post messages to the forum, your name will display as your company name – but we recognise that you may not want to do this.  It is easy to change: as soon as you log in, you can choose how your name appears.  You can use your company name, your full name, or just your first name.

Forum avatars
Some users on the forum have images beside their names.  They are called Gravatars – to create your own, visit gravatar.com and follow their instructions to open a free account and upload your image.  As soon as you have created your Gravatar on the website, your new image will appear beside your messages on the forum.
