History and Overview

Hillingdon Chamber of Commerce (HCC) was founded well over a century ago in 1908.

Today, the chain of office for Uxbridge and West Drayton Chamber of Commerce is stored at Uxbridge Library. A lot has changed since then and for HCC the 1990s was a pivotal period of growth.

In 1994 HCC played a key role in establishing West London Business (WLB) to create a powerful voice for businesses. Although the Chamber remains independent it continues to have a close working relationship with WLB.

HCC has also supported developing local chambers within Hillingdon. In 2006 Ruislip Manor Chamber of Commerce (RMCC) became officially affiliated with Hillingdon Chamber of Commerce

In 2010 Hayes Chamber of Commerce (HayesCC) became affiliated to Hillingdon Chamber and changed their name to Hayes Business Forum.

Most recently HCC has affiliated with the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

HCC continues its important role in sign posting businesses to a range of valuable support services.

The Chamber today

HCC is growing and increasing its membership constantly.

HCC and Brunel University London continue to organise the annual Hillingdon Business Expo which is the biggest free business fair in the UK and one of the most successful B2B networking events in West London. In 2019 the last Expo welcomed over 1500 visitors and 100 exhibitors and the feedback received has been extremely positive.

HCC has also provided a local supply chain programme which will have many benefits for local businesses.

Regular monthly networking events continue to take place within the Borough, including those at Spaces in the Charter Building. The meetings are an opportunity to gain information on potential Hillingdon business opportunities over the next few years
